BONAIRE, GA - Frank Basile, age 64, of Bonaire, Georgia, formerly of Beckley, WV, died Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia following a long illness. -Born at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 10, 1943, he was the son of Margaret Onori Basile of Beckley, WV and the late Giacomo Basile. -Mr. Basile was a 1961 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a graduate of West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1966. Mr. Basile was a former teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley, and a former employee of the Raleigh County Health Department. -He was a former personnel director at Raleigh General Hospital, a former assistant administrator at the University Hospital in Tamarac, Florida. He also was a former administrator at the Summers County Hospital in Hinton, and former administrator of a hospital in Trenton, Missouri. He was a former prison system Health Administrator in Nashville, Tennessee. He retired in June 2006 as a Health Administrator for the Wilcox and Dooly Georgia State Prisons. -Mr. Basile was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. -Survivors: wife, Karlyn Warden Basile; son, Frank C. Basile and wife Joetta of Lindside, WV; daughter, Kara Tipton and husband Randy of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Patrick and Cole Basile, Kyla Tipton. -A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11A.M. Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Beckley, with Rev. Father Chapin Engler as the Celebrant. A Rite of Committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may call at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, where a Christian prayer service will be held at 8P.M. by Rev. Mr. Don Wise.
