Boeing Co. has Gained a $14.3 billion contract to Support and maintain all B-1 Lancer along with B-52 Stratofortress bombers at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.
In a statement a week, the Department of Defense reported the contract includes software and hardware integration and development, flight and ground testing, configuration management, research and analyses and modernization.
The Oklahoman reports that the arrangement continues a decade-old contract to service aircraft in Tinker, that is a portion of the Air Force’s maintenance, overhaul and repair network.
Boeing officials say that their first job will be an innovative communications integration analysis costing a projected $1.2 million.
A stealth bomber anticipated to replace B-52 and with the B-1 from the mid-2020s, Care of the B-21 Raider, can even take place at Tinker.
